  The Department of Accounting in the School of Business at Independent University, Bangladesh is committed to providing excellence in accounting education to embrace the challenge of pursuing different professional qualifications as well as higher academic qualifications at home and abroad.
We have built meaningful relationships with the Industry and Professional community. Our students receive waivers for multiple courses at the CA Program and the CMA Program. The Department strives to foster collaboration with the industry and professional bodies in the sector. The students are required to complete basic foundation courses in order to begin major courses. The foundation courses needed are 40-41 credits with major 18 credits and minor of 15 credits. The students are also required to do an internships when they have finished the required criteria for completion of courses. The department fosters into continuous learning and growth of the students by encouraging them into participating in various club activities.
