Robinson’s PhD in Marketing program in marketing prepares students for careers in teaching and research. Students work with an enthusiastic, research-active faculty with broad interests and excellent contacts among leading firms in a variety of industries. The Department of Marketing’s Marketing RoundTable and Sales Executive RoundTable bring leading figures in business and academics to campus. The department houses research centers such as the Center for Business and Industrial Marketing where students and affiliated faculty receive exposure to real-world business problems directly from senior marketing executives. Their research and resulting publications in scholarly journals are embedded in both marketing theory and marketing practice. You will play an active role in designing your program of study during the coursework phase of the PhD in Marketing program. You will take 15 hours of research methods courses, 18 hours of discipline-specific coursework within your major, and nine hours dedicated to a secondary area of interest.

Robinson College of Business offers specialized master’s programs, including degrees in analytics, finance, managerial science, mathematical risk management, marketing and international business. The college was included in the 2018 edition of the QS Business Master’s Ranking.


The college aims to graduate students who can tackle real-world issues, and its master’s in analytics is unique in that half of students’ learning will be outside the classroom, as students take part in “Insight Sprints”, in which they work in teams to find solutions to business problems using the knowledge they’ve gained on the course. Students of the finance degree benefit from official mentors from the Financial Leadership Network and CFO Council who are leaders in international, national and local businesses. 


The ideal candidate for the analytics course will have an undergraduate degree in a technical subject such as mathematics, computer science, engineering or economics, and relevant professional experience is preferred but not essential. When you apply, you’ll need to complete a video interview and pay the $50 application fee.
