Esil University (Formerly known as Kazakh University of Economics, Finance and International Trade)

The University was founded in 1999 in Astana as a branch of the Turar Ryskulov Kazakh University of Economics (a leading university in the field of economics and finance) with the aim of developing a new educational and cultural center in Astana. In 2007, after changes in legislation in the field of education, the branch ceased its activities and was transformed into an independent higher educational institution – the Kazakh University of Economics, Finance and International Trade (KazUEFIT).

         Since May 2021, AS-Education LLP has become the founder of the university. The university has been renamed Esil University.

Currently,  Esil University provides training in 22 bachelor's degree programs, 23 Master's degree programs, and 5 doctoral programs.

         Over the years, university teachers have been awarded the title of "Best University Teacher" 20 times. 8 teachers studied under the Bolashak International scholarship in Switzerland, Great Britain, USA, etc.

In the IQAA national ranking, the university has been in the TOP 10 since 2016, and in the TOP 5 of the best humanitarian and economic universities in Kazakhstan since 2020. According to the IAAR, it has been in the TOP 20 in the General Ranking of Universities in Kazakhstan since 2018, and in the TOP 15 of the best universities since 2020.

In 2019, the university passed the 7-year institutional accreditation procedure.

In 2022, Sail University was accredited as a subject of scientific and scientific-technical activity for a period until 2027.

According to the Independent Agency for Quality Assurance in Education, the university took 5th place in the National Ranking of the leading humanitarian and economic universities of Kazakhstan-2023.

In the rating of the Independent Accreditation Agency and the 2023 rating in the institutional ranking of universities, he took 13th place among 82 participating universities.

6 EP: "Economics", "Management", "Finance" - in September 2023, they were reacredited by the FIBAA agency (Germany) for a period of 7 years.

In 2023, Esil University signed a cooperation agreement with the Chartered Management Institute (CMI, UK), an international professional management association.

The university has implemented 5 projects of the Erasmus+ program, including academic mobility with the University of Valladolid (Spain), international credit mobility with the universities of Granada, Finland FinkaSo (HAMK, JAMK, LAMK), etc.

The amount of funding for the university's research and development activities is more than 3 billion tenge.

Since 2011, the University has been a member of the European Association of Institutions of Higher Education (EURASHE) and the international educational network European Retail Academy (ERA).

Since 2014, Esil University has been a member of the Association of Asian Universities (AAU).

In 2024, a dual degree program agreement was signed with the College de Paris (France): 3 bachelor's degree programs – "Management", "Information Technology and Data Protection", "Tourism", 1 Master's degree program – "Marketing", 1 MBA program.
