Elective courses cover various areas such as computational materials design, corrosion and degradation, nonmetallic materials, metallurgy and mining, energy, and water. Additionally, students receive training in digital technologies like artificial intelligence and data sciences and business fundamentals for potential entrepreneurship opportunities. MSE graduates can pursue careers as materials and corrosion engineers, materials research engineers, materials manufacturing engineers, or academic professionals in the materials field.
