Industries today look for professionals who can blend strong engineering skills with interactive and audiovisual expertise. This double degree gives you a competitive advantage as someone who can build the technologies behind digital products while also designing their interactive, visual, and creative layers. You gain the ability to contribute to sectors like gaming, fintech, cybersecurity, AI, audiovisual production, cloud services, immersive media, and app development, all with a global-ready mindset. The program gives you access to industry-relevant certifications such as CCNA and CCNP, plus hands-on multimedia and programming experience in real company projects. You develop a profile that is rare and highly demanded: a technologist who also understands design, storytelling, user experience, and interactive innovation. This combination positions you perfectly to lead the creation of next-generation digital platforms, apps, games, and intelligent systems.
The program follows La Salle’s Learning by Challenge methodology, where theory is immediately applied to real problems, prototypes, multimedia productions, and engineering projects. You learn by doing: programming systems, developing apps, building networks, designing game mechanics, creating audiovisual content, and experimenting with VR/AR, AI, and interactive installations. This dynamic approach boosts creativity, technical fluency, and problem-solving from day one. Throughout the degree, you develop skills in software engineering, cloud computing, AI, cybersecurity, multimedia programming, 2D/3D modeling, animation, audiovisual production, and project management. You also strengthen teamwork, leadership, and communication in multidisciplinary projects, essential traits for any modern engineer or digital creator. By graduation, you’re equipped to design robust technological solutions while also crafting compelling multimedia experiences.
La Salle provides a multicultural environment with students from different nationalities, preparing you for global digital and engineering industries. You participate in international internships, exchange programs, and collaborative projects with global companies and universities, expanding your understanding of different work cultures and innovation ecosystems. These experiences sharpen your communication skills and global readiness. Top-performing students can also access international pathways such as the accelerated program with Lewis University in Chicago, combining European engineering excellence with American STEM specialization. You participate in Smart Learning environments that connect students and experts worldwide through advanced classrooms, giving you global exposure without leaving Barcelona.
This double degree immerses you in a campus where engineering, design, business, architecture, digital arts, and animation coexist. You collaborate with students from diverse disciplines, learning to create solutions that merge technology, creativity, strategy, and user experience. This enriches your projects and trains you to approach challenges with a holistic perspective. Working in interdisciplinary teams teaches you how technology interacts with people, companies, and society. You learn to evaluate the ethical, social, and economic impact of the systems and digital experiences you create. This transversal approach strengthens your adaptability and prepares you to innovate in complex, fast-changing environments.
Combining Computer Engineering and Multimedia Engineering gives you access to one of the strongest employability profiles in today’s market. You’re qualified for roles such as software engineer, full-stack developer, game designer, VR/AR developer, AI engineer, multimedia programmer, cybersecurity analyst, audiovisual producer, cloud architect, UX developer, or digital innovation specialist. This versatility opens doors across gaming, tech, audiovisual media, cloud services, telecommunications, fintech, and creative industries.
