Our Business Management (Industry) is a four-year programme. As a student on this degree, you study with every department within the Management School. We focus on building self-confidence and improving your skills and knowledge base. All first-year students study management, marketing, financial accounting, organisations and business statistics. In addition, you will prepare for your placement through engagement with our Careers team. The second year explores operations management, entrepreneurship and economics. You also have options in further economics, entrepreneurship, marketing and organisations. Your third year is spent on a paid placement in industry, gaining invaluable business management skills and experience. Previous students have spent this year working with multinational companies such as IBM, Vauxhall, Johnson & Johnson and The Walt Disney Company. You will be supported in securing your role, which may range from operations or purchasing to marketing or sales.
