BA in Music

Loyola’s B.A. in Music allows students to express themselves through their music, coursework, and performance opportunities. Through this program, students will gain strong performance and composition skills in a variety of settings. The B.A. in Music requires 42 hours for addition to the B.A. in Music, Loyola offers concentrations in jazz studies and sacred music. Students looking to receive a B.A. in Music with a concentration in jazz studies will take courses in jazz improvisation, jazz music history, and jazz composition and arranging. A B.A. in Music with a concentration in sacred music prepares students to work as church music directors, and students will gain experience working with local pastors, choirs, and congregations.
