University information

Macau University of Science and Technology welcomes international students to its undergraduate and postgraduate programmes. While specific requirements vary by programme, here’s a general overview to help you get started. 

Undergraduate entry requirements 
If you're an international student (excluding those from Mainland China, Hong Kong, or Taiwan), you can apply through the Direct Admission route. This process typically runs from late January to mid-April. 

What you'll need: 

  • A high school diploma or equivalent 
  • Transcripts from the last three years of high school 
  • Proof of English proficiency (e.g. TOEFL or IELTS scores) 
  • Any additional academic or extracurricular achievements

Postgraduate entry requirements  For master's and doctoral programmes, MUST offers several admission pathways: 

  • Priority admission: For outstanding graduates from Mainland China who qualify for postgraduate exemption 
  • Recommended admission: For top graduates from MUST or partner universities 
  • Regular admission: Open to all other applicants 

General requirements: 

  • A relevant bachelor's degree for master's programmes 
  • A master's degree for doctoral programmes (some exceptional candidates may apply directly from a bachelor's degree) 
  • Proof of English proficiency (e.g. TOEFL or IELTS scores)
