About The Mitchell E. Daniels, Jr. School of Business
At the new Mitchell E. Daniels, Jr. School of Business at Purdue University, we are creating the leaders and industries of tomorrow. Long named the Purdue School of Management with the graduate school bearing the Daniels name, the new entity is now the Daniels School of Business.
We are grounded in the belief that education should be affordable and accessible, and that analytical problem-solving and the power of data should inform business decisions. Our undergraduate, graduate, online , MBA, Executive, and PhD students thrive in learning opportunities that extend beyond the classroom into real-world, hands-on projects that benefit our industry partners. The industry is consistently running into challenges that defy conventional solutions. Our integrated curriculum sits at the intersection of business and technology and prepares graduates to be innovative problem solvers.
We prioritize four foundational pillars:
Excellence at scale: More top students. Increased faculty size. A prestigious facility. All are vital parts of scaling innovation and taking our next giant leap in business education to become a top-10 business school. Building upon Purdue’s mission, we've increased our student enrolment to develop more future visionary leaders, placing graduates at best-in-class corporations or preparing them to find their own companies.
Integrating Business with Technology: Purdue is where technology and business meet, where a culture of innovation and collaboration brings the best ideas to market and allows students to apply their skills to real-world challenges. The Daniels School of Business is at the heart of this mission, creating opportunities for experiential, transformational learning that merge multiple disciplines and help students develop high-value skills they can take into their chosen careers.
Transformative learning: Students come to Purdue seeking knowledge, but some of life’s most important lessons aren’t found in a book or a lecture hall. The Krannert School of Business bolsters support for more than a dozen student centers, increasing opportunities to build upon classroom learning. Our centers make learning an active experience, putting students in unique situations that help them develop leadership, critical thinking, and communication skills.
A cornerstone for Business: Communication evolves with each generation, but the principles don’t. Students must be prepared to speak well, write well, and interact well. Cornerstone for Business, a unique collaboration with the College of Liberal Arts, will give students the background into the why of business in addition to the how, and become a model for business schools across the nation.
