The academic program for the bachelor’s degree consists of two tracks, one for plant production and another for plant protection. Students of the plant production track study means, methods and modern trends in plant production of vegetable, fruit, ornamental, and field crops and fodder with minor emphasis on related pests. Students of the plant protection track study pests that affect the agricultural crops and methods of controlling them with special focus on pesticides chemistry and toxicology. In addition, the department provides the opportunity for cooperative training, where students are trained in governmental institutions and private sector companies.
