Admission Requirements
i. Pass STPM with Grade C (CGPA 2.00) in three (3) subjects including Mathematics & one (1) Physical Science subject; OR ii.Pass A-Levels in three (3) subjects or equivalent including Mathematics & one (1) Physical Science subject; OR iii.Pass UEC with a minimum Grade B in 5 subjects including Mathematics & one (1) Physical Science subject; OR iv.Pass Diploma in Engineering / Engineering Technology (Level 4, MQF) or equivalent with a minimum CGPA of 2.00; OR v. Pass Matriculation/Foundation in related fields with a minimum CGPA of 2.00; OR vi.Pass in Diploma Kemahiran Malaysia (DKM) /Diploma Vokasional Malaysia (DVM) / Diploma Lanjutan Kemahiran Malaysia (DLKM) with CGPA 2.50; OR vii.Pass in Diploma Kemahiran Malaysia (DKM) /Diploma Vokasional Malaysia (DVM) / Diploma Lanjutan Kemahiran Malaysia (DLKM) with CGPA 2.00 and 2 years working experience in related fields OR viii.Other equivalent Qualifications recognised by the Government of Malaysia;
AND
International students are required to achieve a minimum score of 5.0 for IELTS/MUET Band 3.5 OR its equivalent. (*Note: MUET requirement updated on 16/3/2023)
●Note for (vi) and (vii): The HEPs are to conduct screening and provide necessary guidance specific to the discipline of the programme. ●Note for internal assessment for (i), (ii) and (iii): Preferably Physics, Chemistry or any other relevant Physical Science subject EAC Standard 2020 pg 16 Students intending to pursue engineering programmes shall have a good understanding of mathematics and physical sciences. The normal entry qualification is STPM (with good principal passes in mathematics and physical sciences) or its equivalent.
