During the special trainings students work on the various sections of acting skills. In order to understand the main elements of internal and external acting techniques they perform scenes from Russian literature.
Upon the course completion students present their graduation works.
Theory
Apart from that, students obtain a full cycle of liberal arts education: history, history of Russian and foreign theatre, history of Russian and foreign literature, history of the cinema, music, philosophy, pedagogics and psychology, history of fine art, costume, etc.
Practice
During the course students, starting from the 3rd year, take part in graduation performances and act on the GITIS educational stages. They also participate in the various international festivals, competitions, shows. They can play their graduation performances on the GITIS theatre stages.
Language
Foreign students study Russian language for 4 years, therefore getting a good knowledge of the Russian language as a bonus.
