During the 5-year course students have time to study general humanities, art studies and specialized stage art disciplines. A lot of attention is paid to the legal aspects of the cultural activities, computer studies and foreign languages. Upon the course completion graduates become high-level producers and managers, well-versed in Russian and global cultural life, who can also develop and implement creative projects of any complexity. Theory During the course students study the following liberal arts disciplines: history, history of Russian and foreign theatre, history of Russian and foreign literature, history of the cinema, music, philosophy, pedagogics and psychology, cultural economics etc. They also study such professional disciplines as scientific basis of the management, mathematics and computer science, finance and credit, history and focus areas of producing, information technologies of management, theatre design, tour and festival management and others. Practice Students can do practical training at the major Moscow theatres, concert halls, on television. Language Foreign students study Russian language for 5 years, therefore obtaining a good knowledge of the Russian language as a bonus. Diploma After they write their graduation thesis they get the state diploma.

GITIS offers over 17 undergraduate programs covering more than 50 subjects in Ballet Master Art, Ballet Pedagogy, History and Theory of Theatre and Criticism, Performance Art Producer. Training for each subject is 4-5 years.
