Gaining real-world experience is central to the course and to build upon the knowledge gained while studying for their degree, students are required to undertake a four-week work experience placement within the fitness industry. This will expose them to a real-life working environment, whether it be with a large fitness operator, boutique fitness studio, small independent club, local authority, budget gym operator, or other fitness organisation. Students are taught by a wide range of specialists who have extensive fitness management and/or fitness industry experience. The teaching team also have experience working with awarding bodies, sector skills councils, training providers and the Register of Exercise Professionals (REPs).
