Product design is the blend between art and engineering, and the projects you undertake will bring together both sides of this fascinating discipline – helping to ensure a balanced portfolio and inspiring you to become a confident creative designer. Throughout the course you will be provided with a range of learning experiences, and the necessary support to develop transferable skills that enable you to work within the broader creative industries after graduation. A number of modules also allow you to create, make and retail products in our shop Re:So, and many students also work on professional freelance jobs in their second year through our Solent Creatives initiative.
