Master of Business Administration

The MBA programme aims to produce business leaders who can understand the dynamics, strengths and weaknesses of the local business environment. Not only that, students will be trained to address the issues that can arise from the local businesses. The complementary aspects between Oriental and Western management styles will be an area of focus.

An outstanding feature of the Southern MBA is that it is tailored to address the SMEs’ increasing needs for senior managers and executives with local orientation and yet with a wider outlook to the Asia-Pacific region. The programme intends to train entrepreneurs in their own right and promote SMEs in the region. Another unique feature of the Southern MBA is that students from the Asia-Pacific region will be given a deeper understanding of international business with a focus on oriental and cross cultural management. Management principles and practices acquired from the West could well be supplemented and enhanced by knowledge and understanding from the East.
