The Food Technology Program has a strong commitment to implementing the Five Principles of Higher Education, with a focus on education, research, and community service. The presence of internal and external quality assurance strengthens the Food Technology Program in developing knowledge that can benefit societal development and well-being. The Food Technology Study Program equips graduates with strong fundamental knowledge in food science and technology, enabling them to develop innovative, nutritious, and functional food products. Students are trained to implement food safety and quality management systems such as HACCP, GMP, and ISO 22000, develop food-related businesses, and ensure compliance with regulations and halal food assurance systems. Graduates have diverse career opportunities, including roles in Quality Control (QC) and Quality Assurance (QA) within the food industry, product development and research (R&D), food safety auditing and consulting, and laboratory analysis of food quality. They may also pursue careers as culinary entrepreneurs, food industry practitioners, government officers (ASN or PPPK), consultants in the food industry, nutrition and sanitation consultants, officers at BPOM, halal auditors at LPPOM MUI, staff at Food Security Agencies, researchers at BRIN, or educators at senior and vocational high schools specializing in food science.
