The Geography Education Program at FKIP UHAMKA has a scientific vision of "Providing innovative and excellent geography teacher education in geospatial technology skills focusing on disaster studies, grounded in the values of prophetic teaching." This scientific vision serves as the current target for the Geography Education Program, aiming to produce innovative and outstanding prospective teachers equipped with geospatial technology skills in disaster studies, rooted in the values of prophetic teaching within the university. Consequently, graduates of the Geography Education Program are expected to align with this vision and become individuals who contribute positively to society.
The objectives of this program are as follows:
a. To produce excellent, creative, and innovative novice geography educators who possess skills in managing geospatial information for disaster studies, based on prophetic teaching values.
b. To produce excellent, creative, and innovative novice researchers in geography education, focusing on developing competencies in geography learning by utilizing and processing geospatial information.
c. To produce excellent, creative, and innovative novice researchers in the field of geography with expertise in geospatial technology and information for disaster-related studies.
d. To produce entrepreneurs capable of collaborating to create goods and services related to geography education and the geography field.
