Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya · BarcelonaTech is a public institution of Higher  Education and Research, specialised in the areas of Architecture, Engineering,  Science and Technology that offers:

-          64  bachelor’s degrees

-          74   master’s degrees (31 taught entirely in English)

-          46  doctoral programmes (2 Erasmus Mundus)

This offer is completed by international mobility and double degree programmes.

The UPC has a wide spread presence in Catalonia, with eight campuses located in Barcelona and nearby towns: Castelldefels, Manresa, Sant Cugat del Vallès, Terrassa, and Vilanova i la Geltrú.

COVID-19 Information

  • How can applicants contact the university about their application?  
    Application for Master and PhD programs has been always online, then, there isn’t any modification in this point. Applicants should contact the program coordinator in order to ask for the application procedures. The email address is in each master’s and PhD program’s webpage.

In case of bachelor’s degree applicants, the procedure is centralized by the Autonomic Government. Applicants should consult the following webpage: http://universitats.gencat.cat/en/que_puc_fer/soc_estudiant_de_fora/index.html

  •  University handling applicants whose exams have been cancelled
     The UPC doesn’t do application exams.
     If the applicants don’t have an English-language certificate, they should ask the program coordinator in order to know the options that he can provide to them.
     In the UPC International Relations Bureau webpage, applicants can find several useful information about legal procedures and other topics. In this webpage, applicants can find as well the email address of our International Mobility Students Office, in case they want to ask something specific to our staff.

  • Is the university still accepting applications? 
    The applications for the next course are already open and there isn’t any restriction for international applicants.

  •   How are applications for university accommodation being handled?
    In the UPC International Relations Bureau webpage there is a subsection dedicated to accommodation for incoming students.
