The goal of the Master of Public Policy program is to train policy professionals to step into a wide variety of paid positions across government, private and not-for-profit sectors. This 12-month program fosters in students an appreciation of the importance of effective institutions, efficient regulation and the role that markets play in democracies. Program curriculum is guided by The School of Public Policy’s four focus areas: Social Policy and Health, Energy and Environmental Policy, Fiscal and Economic Policy and International Policy and Trade. The MPP program offers many benefits to students, including: instruction and supervision by leading experts, engaging courses, exposure to innovative research, interactive professional/career development sessions across the year, generous awards and funding opportunities, numerous events and conferences in Calgary and beyond, plus mentorship opportunities with program alumni employed in a wide variety of organizations across Canada.
