The University of El Oued, officially known as the University of Echahid Hamma Lakhdar - El oued, is a public, non-profit higher education institution established in 2001 and located in the dynamic Saharan city of El Oued, Algeria. Officially recognized by the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research, the university offers a full range of accredited programs leading to bachelor's, master's, and doctoral degrees across eight faculties and two annexes, including the Annex of Medicine and the Annex of the Higher School of Teachers.
With more than 23,000 students and 1,118 academic staff members, the University of El Oued stands among the fastest-growing institutions in southern Algeria.
