The programme aims to deliver advanced business education and cutting-edge knowledge in business and finance, incorporating an interdisciplinary approach with an international perspective, while addressing the unique aspects of the dynamic business environment in the Asian region. The programme also offers candidates the opportunity to specialise in various management fields and develops their managerial skills in order to excel in both international and local business landscapes.

At the end of the programme, students are expected to be able to take a strategic overview of management and to analyse the complex and inter-related demands on management from various stakeholder perspectives, and consider the needs of both local and global economies. The programme emphasises on applicability, professional relevance and innovation, preparing students with skills and knowledge required to drive innovation, deliver global value and become industry leaders.

There are two streams of EMBA Programmes:

1. HKU EMBA (September Intake): This stream engages with faculty members from the Guanghua School of Management at Peking University to deliver the latest insights into business knowledge, policy, and economic developments within China. Leveraging the strength of the two leading universities and the two highly influential business schools, the programme is well-poised to achieve remarkable synergy and offer the best learning experience to its students.

2. HKU EMBA-International Stream (March Intake): The programme aims to cultivate business leaders’ international perspectives and global vision, with extensive exposure to Hong Kong and overseas. Students are expected to complete several courses abroad. Forefront topics covered by the curriculum feature cutting-edge financial innovation technology (e.g. blockchain, web 3.0), data modelling, environmental, social and governance (ESG), emerging industries and family wealth management, among others.
