The Dental Hygiene Degree Completion E-Learning program provides dental hygienists the opportunity to continue their education and prepare for leadership roles and expanded career opportunities while remaining in their community of choice. Graduates will have the knowledge and skills to use sound scientific methods and access evidence-based information for making decisions in all aspects of their professional roles. Learning is assessed through application and critical reflection (papers, projects, discussion, field experiences, etc.) not tests or quizzes. In addition, students benefit from instructional faculty who are trained to teach effectively in the online environment and are leaders in diverse roles in the dental hygiene profession. All faculty are licensed dental hygienists with master’s level education in a variety of disciplines. Many are published researchers with University, state, and national professional involvement while still maintaining their clinical practice.
