The Degree in Journalism + Diploma in Global Journalism is designed to prepare communication professionals with an international profile. The globalisation of content and audiences, as well as the proliferation of multinational communication companies, requires graduates capable of addressing international and multicultural audiences. 

The new programme, in a bilingual format, is distinguished by introducing international approaches and content in compulsory and elective subjects, by using the English language language for both knowledge acquisition and information production, and by incorporating academic and professional experiences outside campus, with trips to group and possible individual academic exchanges.

The Diploma Global Journalism will have 129 ECTS credit taught in English. Of these, 117 ECTS credit belong to Study program of Degree in Journalism but with the subjects taught in English and with a global approach. To these 117 are added 12 specific ECTS credit of Diploma: 3 ECTS credit of Communication skills for journalists, 3 ECTS credit of Effective speaking and writing, 3 ECTS credit of Key Issues in the Contemporary World and 3 ECTS credit of International Fortnight Abroad. 

In some subjects taught in Spanish at Degree Journalism, Global Journalism students will be given the opportunity to choose the language (Spanish or English) in news production or practical exercises.

It will be compulsory to present one of the following English qualifications to take this programme: Cambridge Advanced exam (Cambridge ESOOL Exams), level C1 of the Official Language School, TEFL with the following criteria: IBT (Internet-based Total with a minimum of 91 points or having taken the last two years of high school in an International high school whose language of teaching has been English (at least 50% of the subjects).
