Strathclyde Business School

Founded in 1948, Strathclyde Business School is a socially progressive academic organisation within a leading international technological university. We are currently ranked in top 95 European Business Schools 2021 by Financial Times.

Accreditation

Strathclyde Business School has held triple accreditation from the three main business school accreditation bodies – AMBA, EQUIS and AACSB – since 2004. We were the first business school in Scotland to achieve triple accreditation. Our departments and programmes are accredited by expert professional bodies such as CIMA, ICAS and CIPD. Strathclyde is also the first business school in Scotland to be awarded the Small Business Charter Award.

International

We are strongly international in our outlook and have long-standing and established links with universities across the world. We operate five international centres offering the MBA and other programmes (Greece, UAE, Oman, Bahrain and Malaysia).

Strathclyde Business School has a strong reputation for effective working with business, industry and the public sector and our vision is to attain the highest levels of knowledge exchange through applied projects, consultancy and action research with a variety of government and trade unions. Many of our programmes include industry involvement through teaching, external speaker series, work placements, and the opportunity to collaborate with an external organisation for your research project/dissertation.

Research excellence

We develop theory-led, policy-relevant research through collaboration with industry, government, business and the third sector. Strathclyde Business School  has been recognised in the Research Excellence Framework (REF) 2021 for its world-leading research - with a GPA of 3.26, this positions us as the third-highest overall quality of all Scottish institutions as ranked by Times Higher Education (THE).
