Our three faculties offer almost 100 different undergraduate courses, all of which can be personalised to your interests and goals. Across all of them, we emphasise interdisciplinary learning, encouraging students to take a broad perspective and learn from and with their peers.

We have a huge range of professional-standard facilities, such as labs, workshops and studios, where you can develop your skills. In addition, across the campus you’ll find amazing simulation facilities: a fully operational pilot process plant, wind tunnels, flight simulators, a courtroom and a Clinical Simulation Centre, home to our Immersive Learning Environment that’ll transport you to the centre of clinical scenarios. 

Those facilities help prepare students for the world of work – as does our work placement programme. We’re proud to say we’re the winner of the Best University Careers and Employability Service of 2022 (National University Employability Awards - https://nueawards.co.uk/).

And the proof of more success? Surrey was the Times/Sunday Times University of the Year for Graduate Employment in 2022 and 95 per cent of our graduates are in work or further study fifteen months after graduating according to the Graduate Outcomes Survey 2023.

We have more than 1,300 postgraduate researchers across 100+ different research centres and groups . In the most recent Research Excellence Framework (REF 2021), 41% of our submitted research was rated as world leading.

Many of our research staff teach on our master’s programmes – meaning you learn from experts in their fields.

Whether on a taught programme or research, you’ll benefit from our professional-standard facilities, such as labs, workshops and studios. Psychology students, for instance, can conduct experiments in dedicated labs, featuring a virtual reality suite. Language students can practise in dedicated simultaneous interpreting labs, equipped with ISO-certified tools that are commonly used for major multilingual events.
