The Degree in Spanish Philology, in addition to the common subjects of modern philology and romanistics, offers several general courses on the literature, history, civilization and linguistics of the Hispanic world, as well as specific courses that examine economic, cultural and policies of Spanish-speaking countries with the European Union and Hungary. Language courses include subjects in which students have the opportunity to learn the language of tourism, journalism and business.

The program also focuses on improving the use of communicative, written and oral instruments, and developing the ability to elaborate the materials themselves and to analyze data and facts. Students who graduate from Hispanic Studies training, in addition to being able to continue their studies at higher levels of teaching in the field of training philologists, teachers and translators, have good possibilities to work in tourism, cultural and international affairs, and in editorials.
