The earliest years of our lives are the most critical. It’s when we develop social skills and the building blocks of learning. If you are interested in the development of children up to age 5 in public and private daycare centers, community-based preschools, state-funded preschools and child development centers this degree is for you. The Early Childhood (Non-Certification) Program is ideal for those who desire to work with young learners, utilizing a deep understanding of Early Childhood Education. The student will be introduced to Early Childhood Education, the young learner and her family in the initial classes. Courses in nutrition, health, thematic learning, play, mathematics, special education, literature for young children, and developmentally appropriate practice will prepare the student for all aspects of educating the young learner. Finally, the student will complete a practicum in an Early Childhood classroom.

Freshman must submit the following: Application and $30 Application Fee (application available online); Official high school transcripts (students must submit an official high school transcript showing course work through the time of application and submit a final transcript after graduation showing graduation date and diploma type); Submit official college and institution transcripts (if application); ACT or SAT scores; AND Immunization Record and Medical History completed through Student Medical Report and Immunization Form.
