Admission Requirements
A minimum of an upper second class honours degree (2:1) or a lower second class honours degree (2:2) and substantial relevant work experience. Applicants are required to submit a portfolio, if this does not contain sufficient menswear content, applicants will then be required to create a virtual portfolio of three design projects that best evidence individual inspiration, and how this is developed through the process of designing. Applicants will also need to identify in writing a specific area of personal interest that they believe will create a positive contribution to the menswear industry and which they envisage studying in depth whilst on the course.
Selected applicants invited to interview (who have not done sufficient menswear) will be sent a project which entails creating six menswear outfits. The work is to include a visual portfolio; inspirational design development ideas, including fabrics research and techniques; line-up with illustrations and flats including final fabrics and colour palette; working toile or single finished garment.
