The Master of Science in Educational Psychology, Learning Analytics option from the University of Wisconsin–Madison gives you the knowledge and tools to break down data into dynamic analyses that will help guide decisions and improvements in education. Coursework is designed to equip you with the foundational knowledge and skills necessary to successfully navigate the educational data mining landscape. With an emphasis on both quantitative and qualitative coursework, the curriculum trains you to make calculated analyses and have meaningful conversations. You will also study the theoretical perspectives on learning, cognition, and ethical decision-making, as well as practice applying and adapting analytic methodologies and tools. The curriculum culminates in a capstone project to practice with and present real-world data. A Learning Analytics masters degree also prepares you for a variety of careers.
