Uttara University (UU) has committed to fostering academic excellence and innovation since its inception in 2003. With a state-of-the-art permanent campus and five schools, UU provides a dynamic educational environment that caters to the diverse needs of our students. Our academic calendar consists of two semesters each year, ensuring a well-rounded and comprehensive learning experience across our 14 departments and 40 programs.

At Uttara University, we prioritise access to resources, boasting the dedicated M Azizur Rahman Library to support our students' academic endeavours. Additionally, our university is home to a dozen UU Centres, comprising 56 labs. These facilities include specialised labs within departments such as Computer Science and Engineering (CSE), Electrical and Electronics Engineering (EEE), Civil Engineering (CE), Fashion Design and Technology (FDT), and Textile Engineering (TXE), providing students with hands-on learning opportunities in their respective fields.

Uttara University's instruction medium is English, facilitating unified communications and collaborations among our diverse student body. Our commitment to research is evident through our esteemed UU Research Centers, including the Center for Research & Training (CRT), Center for Sustainable Nanoparticle Synthesis (CSNS), Center for Clean Energy Research (CCER), and the Fintech Research Group (FRG) Moreover, our university boasts cutting-edge UU Labs, such as the Industrial Automation & Robotics Lab [IARLab], Generative Artificial Intelligence Lab [GAILab], Health Humanities Lab [HHLab], Innovation & Incubation Lab [IILab] and Digital Language Lab [DLLab]. These facilities are hubs for innovation and exploration, empowering our students to engage in groundbreaking research and discovery.
