The Bachelor of Science in interdisciplinary mathematics requires MTH 112, 113, 117, 121, 311 or 321, 391 and 392, as well as seven additional 3 to 4 hour classroom courses (not individual studies). These seven courses must be in math or the focused collateral area and must consist of at least three math courses above 116 with at least one being at the 300 level or above; also, the seven courses must consist of at least three focused collateral courses at the 200 level or above. These collateral courses require approval by an advisory committee, and they cannot be double counted for any other major at the university. Finally, the 391/392 senior project should have some ties to the collateral area.
