The Graduate School at Wayne State University advances graduate education and cultivates a supportive environment for research, scholarly activities and other creative endeavors that are integral to successful graduate students, faculty members and programs. The Graduate School administers and regulates funds that support graduate studies and disseminates information related to graduate programs and policies. The school hosts the Graduate and Postdoctoral Research Symposium, encouraging postdoctoral fellows, doctoral and master’s students to share their research experiences across disciplines. Professional development seminars on topics such as the academic job search and career choices for students in the humanities are regularly offered, and assistance is available for doctoral students and postdocs interested in exploring careers beyond academia.
