In Interior Design, students acquire the appropriate technical skills and conceptual knowledge to design functional, safe, and aesthetically appealing interior architectural spaces for their clients. Students work on small residential to large commercial projects and learn about soft and hard decorative finishes, illumination, and the interplay between social and natural environments. Through research, problem solving, and applied practice, students understand the complexities of the built environment while developing creative solutions. Program Learning Outcomes Upon successful completion of this program, students will be able to: 1. Theory and History of Art and Interior Design: Comprehend and employ historical cases and theoretical analysis as platform to initiate research design development in the context of human habitation in interior spaces. 2. Professional Interior Design Practice: Exhibit the ability to develop interior design assignments in the context of design practice fundamentals supported by internship to test their academic knowledge in the real practice scenarios. 3. Critical Thinking: Define and analyze a given design problem, evaluate and test potential solutions, develop the project through a rigorous process, and defend the outcome (orally and graphically) to an informed audience. 4. Interior Design Literacy: Demonstrate the proper design skills to formulate complex spatial problems and provide responsive and innovative solutions, while considering the social, behavioral, technical, and physical constraints. 5. Entry requirements If you’re an international student who would like to apply to study at Zayed University, you’ll need to provide two letters of recommendation and a personal statement outlining your desire to study at the university. Any education certificates earned outside UAE should also be attested by the U.A.E Ministry of Education.
Tuition fees Tuition fees for international students at undergraduate level are AED2,500 (~US$680) per credit hour, which can be paid in three separate installments throughout the year. To help with the cost of tuition fees, there are undergraduate scholarships available for international students, including the Undergraduate Merit Scholarship.
Application process To apply to study an undergraduate degree at Zayed University, you should fill out the necessary application form, pay a non-refundable application fee of AED262.50 (~US$71), and make sure that you’re able to provide evidence of completing the Student Visa Request Form.

To apply to Zayed University as an international student, you must:
Provide an official transcript of your degree which states when it was awarded
Have a letter from the Ministry of Higher Education recognizing your degree in the U.A.E. if it was earned at a foreign university
Have an IELTS (Academic) overall band score of not less than 6.0 (The College of Education requires minimum sub scores no less than 5.0), or an internet-based TOEFL total score of not less than 79 iBT.
You should also provide two letters of recommendation, as well as an up-to-date CV in English demonstrating your professional work experience and education milestones.
