The Human Resource Management (HRM) program provides a theoretical and practical understanding of organizational dynamics, and highlights the critical role that people play in enabling organizations to achieve their strategic objectives. Students learn how to apply human resource theories to improve individual, team, and organizational effectiveness.
The course curriculum reflects the major HR unctions, including staffing, development, employee relations, performance management, compensation, and change management.
Program Learning Outcomes Upon successful completion of this program, students will be able to:
1. Critically evaluate human resource theories and apply them to organizational contexts.
2. Identify the major steps needed to design, implement, and evaluate human resource programs and instruments.
3. Explain how national cultures differ from each other and how such differences impact work-related attitudes and behaviors.
4. Demonstrate how the primary business functions (e.g. Strategy, Production, Marketing, etc.) contribute to organizational effectiveness and explain how major external factors (e.g., consumer preferences, economic factors, legislation, etc.) impact organizations.
5. Identify and solve business problems through the application of human resource management and general business knowledge.
 6. Conduct research in a chosen area of specialization and document and defend the research results.
7. Communicate effectively in writing and verbally, and deliver professional-level presentations.
8. Operate individually and contribute to team effectiveness with only general supervision.
9. Demonstrate leadership in planning and managing projects and small teams.
 10. Recognize and resolve ethical dilemmas in the workplace, and explain the basic principle of corporate social responsibility.

Entry requirements
If you’re an international student who would like to apply to study at Zayed University, you’ll need to provide two letters of recommendation and a personal statement outlining your desire to study at the university. Any education certificates earned outside UAE should also be attested by the U.A.E Ministry of Education.


Tuition fees

Tuition fees for international students at undergraduate level are AED2,500 (~US$680) per credit hour, which can be paid in three separate installments throughout the year. To help with the cost of tuition fees, there are undergraduate scholarships available for international students, including the Undergraduate Merit Scholarship


Application process

To apply to study an undergraduate degree at Zayed University, you should fill out the necessary application form, pay a non-refundable application fee of AED262.50 (~US$71), and make sure that you’re able to provide evidence of completing the Student Visa Request Form.

At Zayed University, we offer a number of postgraduate degree programs, including the EMBA, Master of Science (MSc), Master of Education in Educational Leadership and Administration, Master of Arts in Communication Concentration in Strategic Public Relations (MA).

Entry requirements

To apply to Zayed University as an international student, you must:  

  • Provide an official transcript of your degree which states when it was awarded
  • Have a letter from the Ministry of Higher Education recognizing your degree in the U.A.E. if it was earned at a foreign university
  • Have an IELTS (Academic) overall band score of not less than 6.0 (The College of Education requires minimum sub scores no less than 5.0), or an internet-based TOEFL total score of not less than 79 iBT.


You should also provide two letters of recommendation, as well as an up-to-date CV in English demonstrating your professional work experience and education milestones.

For those who applying to the College of Education, two 250-word essays are also required. Those who wish to apply to study the MA in Communications, or the MA in Diplomacy and International Studies will need to provide a writing sample in English.


Tuition fees


The cost of tuition fees range between AED128,000 (~US$34,853) and AED84,000 (~US$22,872) depending on postgraduate degree. For more information about the cost of the postgraduate program that you’re interested in, please visit our website.
There are also postgraduate scholarships for international students to help with the cost of tuition fees.

Application process


International students will need to complete, sign and submit the online Application for Graduate Program Admission, pay a non-refundable application fee of AED420 (~US$114), as well as provide a copy of your passport and a passport-size photo. If your application is successful, you’ll be invited to attend a personal interview, or a video conference interview with the Graduate Program Admissions Committee to assess whether the program is right for you, and whether you’re right for the program.
