QS World University Rankings by Subject 2019: Physics & Astronomy

.

German universities provide the rare bit of movement at the top of this year’s physics & astronomy ranking, with most of the top 20 remaining unchanged since last year’s ranking. Technische Universität München has climbed five places to rank 16th, while Ludwig-Maximilians-Universität München has moved up two places to 20th. Only one other institution from continental Europe is ranked higher than these two German universities this year.

The QS World University Rankings by Subject are based upon academic reputation, employer reputation and research impact (click here to read the full methodology).
