Master's Degree in Teaching Chinese as a Foreign Language to Children

Spanish schools are beginning to establish the teaching of Chinese as part of their curriculum in Primary and Secondary Schools. More and more teachers with appropriate qualifications will be needed to teach Chinese.The Institute of Educational Sciences, (or “Instituto de Ciencias de la Educación”, ICE, as it is known) at the Universidad Pontificia Comillas, has offered a Master's Degree in Teaching Chinese as a Foreign Language to Children, since the 2016-2017 academic year, in collaboration with the company Macma. This Master’s Degree allows Chinese students or students with a high level in the Chinese language to be trained to teach Chinese in schools or institutions. The Programme has its origin in the "Course in the Teaching of Chinese as a Foreign Language for Spanish-speaking children", which was first taught in 2012, which became very popular at the time that it was implemented.
