Civil engineering is the engineering of construction, major projects and buildings, including urban development, mining and industry. It covers the fields of structures, hydraulics, soil mechanics and foundations, transport, project management, international development, environment and public hygiene. The interdisciplinary and practice-oriented training of the UdeS aims to train versatile individuals who can design, implement, manage and operate complex public systems. The baccalaureate is structured to optimize the integration of basic science and engineering science learning with the development of professional skills in design, problem solving and project management. It incorporates many design projects and a major graduation project to enable you to apply your theoretical and technical knowledge, to work in a team and to equip you for your internships in the company and for the job market.
