This course is designed for students who have not necessarily meet the academic and subject entry requirements to apply for a teaching degree. At the completion of first year, students who have maintained a good academic standard throughout the year may be eligible to apply for a transfer into the second year of a FedUni teaching degree. This means that students may still qualify as a VIT registered teacher within 4 years of study; OR students may complete the three years of this degree and continue into a Master of Teaching in either Secondary, Primary or Early Childhood teaching and qualify as a VIT registered teacher within 4.5 years. In the third year, students will undertake the Certificate IV in Training and Education allowing them to teach in Adult Learning settings such as TAFE or Registered Training Organisations (RTO’s).
