The Master of Strength and Conditioning provides the knowledge, skills and practical experience needed to work as a strength and conditioning coach in a high-performance setting. Future graduates will acquire the necessary accreditation required to work with athletes who strive for optimum sports performance. This course involves tutorials and practical sessions, enabling students to learn how to design and coach evidence-based programs for a range of team and individual sport applications. Students will learn to develop and monitor training programs to meet the demands of the athlete across a range of contexts. Through this course, students will be taught how to conduct tests of determinant physical qualities such as strength, power, speed, agility and endurance. Other areas covered in this course include recovery, nutrition, injury prevention and rehabilitation. Students will also undertake practical placements in the sports industry to gain experience working with coaches and athletes.
