Your gateway into nursing is the Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN), giving you eligibility for Registered Nurse (RN) licensure. No Waiting List, No Separate Application Kramer School of Nursing does not keep you waiting to become a nurse. All qualified undergraduate nursing applicants are accepted and may begin coursework as soon as general education classes and prerequisites are complete. Once you are admitted to OCU, no separate application to the nursing school is required. You are may attend the Student Nurses Association meetings, participate in nursing school activities, and have a nursing faculty advisor. Design your own degree completion plan for your preferred pace and graduation date Many nursing courses are offered every fall and spring semesters, and some are offered as summer courses. Choose: Part-time, if you have other full-time duties or prefer a more relaxed pace Full-time, at a standard pace with summers off, with time for extracurricular activities for that full college experience Accelerated, if you are a strong student who wants to finish your nursing courses in less than 18 months! Whether earning your first college degree or changing careers, you may be able to start nurses courses right away. If you are earning your first college degree, simply complete OCU's general education requirements and the nursing prerequisites before your junior year. If you have completed an associate's of science degree from a regionally accredited institution and have taken a class which will transfer for our World Religions course, you have met our general education requirements. If you have a full undergraduate or graduate degree from an accredited institution, you have completely met our general education requirements. You can start nursing courses as soon as you have: A 3.00 cumulative GPA or higher A cumulative GPA of 2.50 or higher in all science courses. All course attempt grades in all science courses will be calculated, not just the highest grade. Completed junior-level nursing course prerequisites including (number of hours): Human Anatomy with a lab (3-5)* Human Physiology (3-5)* Microbiology with a lab (3-4) Introduction to Psychology (3) College chemistry course with a lab, preferably introductory, general, or organic chemistry (4-5)

The equivalent of a 3.0 high school grade point average is required for admission into Oklahoma City University's undergraduate programs. Other English Language Requirements: PTE 53, or completion of ELS level 112 is required for most programs.
