The finance major centers on managing money, which is an essential task for all modern organizations. As a finance major at the Meinders School of Business, you will have the opportunity to study some of the most important phenomena in the business world, including: The value of money; The interactions between return and risk; How corporations finance their growth through equity and debt products; How to choose a project over other candidate projects; Financial markets and financial products; Theory and practice on investments management. You will have the opportunity to learn to conduct research using Bloomberg Terminal, and the opportunity to manage real portfolios by joining the investment club. Other opportunities include participating in the Governor’s Cup Business Plan Competition and attending the annual World Business Forum in New York City. Our recent graduates have 100% placement rate. Employers include national investment banks such as Goldman Sachs and J.P. Morgan, regional and local banks, Fortune 500 companies, government agencies such as Federal Reserve. Some of our graduates went on to study at the nation’s finest graduate programs.
