About 22 courses are offered each year as well as opportunities for independent research. The biology major at NSU prepares students for diverse careers, including education, healthcare, industry and conservation. It also prepares students for further education and research in graduate and/or professional schools. The modern equipment and facilities at Northern include eight teaching and research laboratories and several preparation rooms.
