The Master of Criminal Sciences program supports the AAU’s role in promoting research and contributes to the sustained development and prosperity of the community. It is designed to help meet the needs arising for legislative professionals capable to handle the modern challenges. Goals and Objectives The program seeks to achieve the following objectives: *Enhancing the students’ ability to conduct sound scientific legal research in the field of criminal sciences. *Augmenting the students’ ability to interpret national legislations as well as international agreements in the various fields of criminal sciences. *Training the students to compare legislations in various legal systems and to assess the possibility of using them in developing the national law. *Meeting the community’s needs in the UAE and GCC for distinguished legal professionals who are able to provide legal consultation and keep up with the social, economic, and political developments. *Developing the students’ skills in utilizing the various available sources of information and knowledge whether electronic or print. *Fulfilling the need for faculty members in the field of criminal sciences in the UAE and GCC universities. *Enabling distinguished graduates holding undergraduate degrees in law or similar disciplines to pursue their graduate education in the UAE.

A Bachelor degree of law or its equivalent approved by the UAE Ministry of Education with a minimum (GPA) of (3 out of 4), or its equivalent on the Bachelor level.
May accept students with a bachelor of Police Science and criminal justice in the master's program in criminal science, provided the student should have studied at least 65% of the area of law and courses related to the criminal.
Obtain Arabic language proficiency certificate (EMSAT) with a score not less than (1250).
A valid English Language Proficiency Certificate in one of the below certificates or its equivalent, at least as the following:
EmSAT TOEFL ITP IELTS 950 450 4.5 CONDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS A student may be granted conditional admission in the Master of Criminal Science in the following cases: If a student obtains a GPA between (2 and 2.99 out of 4), s/he will be granted a conditional admission, provided that s/he:
Registers for no more than (9) credit hours in the first semester of joining the program.
Obtains at least (3 out of 4) or its equivalent in the registered program during the first semester
