The program is aimed at forming the personality of a qualified competitive specialist with a system of professional and professionally specialized competencies, able to navigate the theoretical and practical issues of modern virology, able to apply modern methods of cytology, biochemistry and molecular genetics, bioinformatics in order to diagnose viral infections, introduce new methods and new laboratory equipment; independently conduct research with the assigned tasks job responsibilities, organizing the work of performers and making managerial decisions with different opinions within the framework of their professional competence.the framework.
ON1 carry out multi-stage and simple tasks to conduct scientific research and practical use of the results of individual and team intellectual activity in the field of studying the structure and function of genes, genomes and proteomes; ON2 analyze and evaluate advanced scientific achievements, generate new ideas and popularize their scientific research in solving research and epidemiological-preventive problems, including at the interdisciplinary level, as well as in project-oriented, game and simulation-model formats; ON3 organize and conduct monitoring of the occurrence and spread of infectious, parasitic and other diseases, biological pollution of the environment and quarantine measures, as well as determine methods for protecting the population in hotbeds of particularly dangerous infections when the epidemiological situation worsens; ON4 master the principles of labor protection and safety of working with virus-containing material, methods of indication, isolation and identification of viruses in various pathological materials and research methods (virological, biological, serological, molecular genetic, metagenomic for the analysis of viral genomes) used in virology to study detection and differentiation to identify and determine the nature of viral diseases of animals, plants and humans; ON5 determine the methodology for planning and implementing molecular virological studies for the purpose of studying viruses in natural communities; ON6 conduct a search and critical analysis of problems related to the diagnosis, treatment and prevention of viral diseases, the production of diagnostic, therapeutic and prophylactic drugs; ON7 analyze the current state of research in the fields of medical, diagnostic and molecular virology, ways to solve practical problems, including in related fields, solve research problems and find alternative ways to solve them; ON8 plan experimental work in the field of molecular virology using high-tech techniques; methods for isolating viruses and diagnosing viral infections; and also interpret the results obtained using bioinformation resources using available biological information databases; ON9 use knowledge of the basics of virology for the diagnosis and prevention of viral diseases of animals and plants; skills in the use of biotechnological methods of isolation, separation, purification and design of biologically active substances, production of biological products; ON10 analyze and summarize the results of scientific research in the field of science and education by applying a set of modern scientific methods and technologies in solving specific research problems
