PLEASE NOTE: THIS PROGRAMME IS ENTIRELY TAUGHT IN ITALIAN
This programme develops the theoretical and technical expertise you need to work in the management of public administration (local, regional, national and international) and both nonprofit and for-profit organisations operating in areas of public interest. It equips you to encourage the innovation and modernisation that are so essential to our response to the social and economic changes that society is experiencing today. The curriculum helps you acquire a wide range of knowledge and expertise in economics and business, statistics and IT, law, organisation and sociology. Highly innovative teaching ensures you also acquire transferable skills by incorporating engagement and interaction with different external bodies, thereby preparing you to tackle the main innovative challenges – such as debureaucratisation, digitisation and sustainability – that public organisations are facing now or will have to grapple with in the near future. Although the programme does not focus on any one specialisation, its content is flexible, allowing students to adopt different pathways in order to carry out more in-depth study in any of the four areas it addresses (quantitative studies, economics/ business, law and sociology/organisation). To allow greater flexibility, the programme is taught with a blended approach, so some courses take place on campus while others are attended online.

Frequently Asked Questions

There are so many, including top-notch teaching and research, eminently affordable tuition fees (see the relevant FAQ below for details), a markedly global and globally-minded attitude and being located in the incomparable city of Venice. Read all about them here: www.unive.it/10goodreasons. Being based in the historic centre of Venice, Ca’ Foscari offers the opportunity to study and carry out research in one of the world’s most beautiful cities. As you surely know, Venice is a very unique place. While it allows you to do the typical things you might expect – like wandering for hours and enjoying getting lost in its beauty – but it is also what you may not imagine: a place where student life spills into every public space and cultural engagement is around every corner. Venice also positions you at the heart of Europe, making it an easy and affordable jumping-off point for exploring the rest of Italy and beyond.
Ca’ Foscari is a public, federally subsidized institution that prioritizes internationalisation and assuring affordable access to university education for everyone, even students coming from abroad. Students from Italy or European Union/Schengen Area countries pay maximum tuition fees of around 2,400 euro per year for most bachelor’s degrees and around 2,600 euro per year for master’s degrees. Students from other parts of the world, depending on their nationality, pay less than this, sometimes as little as 700 euros per year. To learn about how much your tuition fees will be, explore Ca’ Foscari’s online application platform apply.unive.it. To make choosing Ca’ Foscari even more manageable for high-achieving international students, the university offers renewable merit-based scholarships dedicated to international bachelor’s and master’s students. There are also additional national scholarship programmes for master’s students. Read all about these opportunities here: https://www.unive.it/scholarships.
Since it was founded in 1868, Ca’ Foscari has been a key player in teaching and research in economics and management. The university’s Venice School of Management is EQUIS accredited, so the bachelor’s and master’s programmes the school offers are internationally recognized for their innovation and excellence, while in the competitive field of Economics & Econometrics Ca’ Foscari has maintained consistently high rankings. What is more, the university is particularly committed to exploring today’s most dynamic fields of learning and research, including social innovation, risk management, data harnessing and innovation management.
At Ca’ Foscari we believe that a university education needs to be international. This is why we offer a wide range of bachelor’s, master’s and PhD programmes completely taught in English, which are popular with both international students and Italian students interested in a markedly international classroom experience. At the same time, to make sure you take full advantage of everything Italy has to offer, English-taught programmes include an Italian course to get you started on learning the local language.
European and non-European students with an international qualification who wish to enrol in a bachelor's or master's degree programme at Ca' Foscari apply for admission via the online platform apply.unive.it. After uploading the required documentation and completing the procedure, additional information and the outcome of the application will be communicated via email.
