This programme trains you to be a professional capable of working to protect the environment and implement the use of renewable energies by preparing you to design, plan, evaluate, manage and control the kinds of systems, processes and services linked to these activities. The curriculum explores the different applications of environmental processes and applied research with a quantitative approach. It particularly focuses on ways to transform materials and energy that maximise production yield and minimise risk and environmental impact with a view to achieving environmental – but also economic and social – sustainability and implementing the circular economy concept. Through the programme, you develop relevant skills thanks to the multidisciplinary yet practical approach employed. The course combines disciplines such as industrial, mechanical and energy engineering, analytical chemistry, applied microbiology, the assessment of risks and environmental impacts throughout the life cycle of products and processes, environmental law and the economy of multi-utilities. Graduates acquire the skills they need to work in the field of industrial biotechnologies linked to the promotion of renewable resources and renewable energies, with regard to both the chemical, microbiological and engineering aspects of conversion and production processes, and to assess the environmental impact that these processes can produce.
