Unique in Italy, this programme integrates translation and interpretation skills with specific language combinations, depending on the curriculum and languages you choose. One of the curricula is dedicated to translation and interpreting with a focus on Chinese, Italian, and English. This curriculum’s study plan helps you master the principal techniques and methodologies employed in professional interpretation and translation, as well as how to use IT tools for assisted translation. You learn to tackle the most diverse linguistic literary and socio-cultural issues with a comparative and intercultural approach and to analyse and translate technical, literary, editorial and multimedia texts. You also learn how to do liaison interpreting, consecutive and chuchotage (whispered) interpreting, as well as how to manage complex technical professional projects. In addition to providing a wealth of technical skills, these activities aim to deepen your understanding of the intercultural and interlinguistic dynamics in which you will find yourself working after graduation. The same toolbox of knowledge and skills are provided to those who choose the second curriculum and opt for a focus on SpanishEnglish translation and interpreting. However, this curriculum comprises three distinct study paths, offering two other options apart from Spanish-English: these two alternative paths allow you to choose to study translation and interpreting with a focus on Italian Sign Language paired with either Spanish or English, thereby making it a programme that is not offered anywhere else in Italy.

Students from Italy or European Union/Schengen Area countries pay maximum tuition fees of around 2,400 euro per year for most bachelor’s degrees and around 2,600 euro per year for master’s degrees.
