The program is designed for experienced professionals with a master’s degree and relevant public health or public service experience in a relevant discipline. The PhD prepares professionals for academic and research leadership roles in public health and health care.

PhD graduates will be able to:

  • PO3. Service: Facilitate preventive, promotive, rehabilitative and palliative services to the people.

  • PO5. The Public Health Researcher and Society: Apply reasoning informed by the contextual knowledge to assess societal, health, safety, legal and cultural issues and the consequent responsibilities relevant to the professional public health practice.
