Doctoral Program

KSBT runs a vibrant PhD program in various emerging areas of Biosciences and Biotechnology and inter-disciplinary areas. Doctoral candidates are selected through a national level written and viva examination “KIITEE”. An extensive course work of six months is designed for each doctoral candidate and is mandatory to qualify for PhD degree award. Currently, 73 research scholars are involved in full time research activities and supported through national level fellowships such as CSIR-UGC NET, DBT-JRF, ICMR-JRF, DST-INSPIRE as well as from research projects. Candidates having any such fellowships are encouraged to apply and talk to the faculties of their interest.
